Bilang host, hindi itinanggi ni Kapuso singer Thea Astley na kinakabahan din siya sa mga interview sa pinakabagong podcast ng GMA Network na Behind The Song Podcast.
Sa press interview, ibinahagi ni Thea ang kanyang karanasan bilang host ng nasabing podcast.
"It's nerve-racking. This people that I'm interviewing are amazing. They already have a name so it's always feel like an honor. It's an honor to be just talking with this people, to be interviewing them,” sabi ni Thea. "So it's definitely is quite medyo nakakanerbyos talaga s'ya but I always tried to channel the nervous into excitement para hopefully maganda 'yung kalabasan."
Ayon sa kanya, bago pa man ang araw ng interview, pinag-aaralan na niya ang “discography” ng artist na makakapanayam. "Everytime na sasabihin na sa akin kung sino 'yung artist that we will be interviewing, I always make it a point to listen to if I can the whole discography of that artist. And not just once, I really like if I'm interviewing someone today, the day before that I'll be streaming all of their songs repeatedly because I want to know what I'm talking about,”
"Because, how can I talk to someone about their music if I don't know their songs or their music. So I try as hard as I can to get to know the artist through their songs first before I interview them. So I have an idea of who they are and I could have more honest and organic insights when I'm talking to them," sabi niya.
Nagbigay rin si Thea ng ilang paya para sa mga nangangarap din maging host ng isang podcast. "Don't be afraid to speak. For example, even if you are in the podcast with someonle else, I always appreciate the podcast if it feels like a conversation.”
"So when you are doing your own podcast, hopefully you will be able to just say what you think, what you feel. Kasi people will appreciate that. People will appreciate what your own thoughts and opinions are," pagtatapos ni Thea.
